Russia’s food imports from EU rise 2.6% to 464 mln euros in April
MOSCOW, Jun 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s E.U. imports increased 2.6% on the year to 464 million euros in April, as follows from data of the European Commission, released on Monday.
Imports from Russia to the E.U. grew 13.2% to 138 million euros.
From May 2015 through the end of April 2016, Russia’s agricultural imports from the E.U. decreased 24.6% on the year to 5.554 billion euros, while exports to the E.U. grew 5.8% to 1.451 billion euros.
Russia introduced an E.U. food imports prohibition as a countermeasure to sanctions in August 2014, although not all types of food were prohibited.
